Our Collective Purpose

• To consider, examine, and discuss the challenges facing Wisconsin public higher education

• In particular, focusing on the need to provide a high-quality, affordable education that leads to the completion of college credentials

The Agenda

• Today we will consider the national picture, and the scene here in Wisconsin– We will hear from well-known economists and

sociologists about the latest facts and figures (115-315 pm)

– We will meet in smaller discussion groups to ponder the key issues (330-5 pm)

– We will come together over food & drink to talk further (5-630 pm)

The Agenda

• Tomorrow we will focus on affordability in Wisconsin– We will share “hot-off-the-presses” findings from

the Wisconsin Scholars Longitudinal Study (8-12)– We will consider how these findings relate to the

national policy agenda (12-130 pm)– We will continue to discuss ideas and develop

plans for the future (130-430 pm)
