Welcome to the Lord’s day worship service at Grace Church.
We are truly blessed to be here this morning as we open God’s Word together, sing His praises,
and enjoy a time of fellowship in His presence.
Be sure to take advantage of the many fellowship and ministry
opportunities available to our church family today and
throughout the week.

Sing Unto God
Sing unto God, and high affections raise,To crown this conquest with unmeasured praise!
George Frideric Handel (1685–1759)
Doxology Hymn
Hymn 129 Crown Him with Many Crowns
Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne;Hark! how the heav’nly anthem drowns all music but its own!Awake, my soul and sing of Him who died for thee,And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity.
Crown Him the Lord of lords, who over all doth reign,Who once on earth, th’incarnate Word, for ransomed sinners slain,Now lives in realms of light, where saints with angels singTheir songs before Him day and night their God, Redeemer, King.

While much of the globe considers America to be a “Christian” nation, many parts of our country are without biblical churches. Some areas are completely devoid of a biblical church, while others have a church that was once healthy, but for various reasons is now dying. Due to the faithful ministry of our pastor and church family, Christians in these situations have been reaching out to Grace Community Church for many years, asking for guidance.
Grace Advance was formed to respond to the needs of churches seeking revitalization and core groups desiring to form new churches. The Elder’s
Council Handling Advance (ECHA), consisting of Grace Church elders and lay leaders, was created for the purpose of vetting existing churches in need of help and core groups seeking to plant churches.
Grace Advance and the ECHA board provide critical leadership and counsel to these groups. Their circumstances are often very difficult and their problems nuanced. Churches find themselves in need of revitalization for various reasons. Fracturing caused by disunity, the failure of pastoral leadership and the fallout of that failure, and a lack of leadership to give direction can
all cause a once-healthy church to flounder. The ECHA board provides the biblical wisdom that is needed to navigate these complex circumstances.
In contrast to dying churches, core groups are motivated to contact us because of a lack of biblical teaching in their areas. They desire to plant new churches that will meet their spiritual needs as well as those of their communities. They often have circumstances very different from a revitalization, and the ECHA board is instrumental in navigating all the intricacies of planting a new church.
Today, twenty-seven fully autonomous churches exist in North America because Grace Church

responded to the needs of the body of Christ through the formation of Grace Advance. The ECHA board is currently vetting several other groups for consideration, so please be in prayer for both the board and the applicants.
GRACE ADVANCE TEAMSIn 2016 Grace Advance launched a new ministry called Grace Advance Teams (GATs). GATs provide focused support to our Grace Advance churches around North America, similar to international STMs. Along with prayer and financial support, GATs provide a great opportunity to get involved with Grace Advance. Teams have visited Ohio,
Utah, and Maryland thus far, leading VBS, facilitating community outreach, and doing evangelism.
Grace Advance Teams will resume in Spring 2017. There will be opportunities for serving with music ministry, general construction, VBS, evangelism, biblical counseling instruction, and more. If you are interested in strengthening biblical churches through the ministry of Grace Advance and GATs, please stop by our table on the patio this morning or visit graceadvance.org today.
