What’s Happening

Maria Arroyo, Rebecca Rose, and Jean Mayer enjoy their mocktails.

Gretchin supplies water bottles and information on our waterworks program to local rehabs and hospitals.

During the month of July Sonata healthcare kicks off a “Water Works” Program promoting hydration.. The extreme heat of July coupled with our elderly residents is very dangerous and we are making an effort to consistently educate the staff to monitor the courtyard and get residents out before they get overheated. Consistently offering hydration to the residents is being pushed as well. Staff were educated on the signs and symptoms of dehydraton and general information on our body’s need for water.Alan is making “mocktails” for the residents every Tuesday in the neighborhoods. Mocktail recipes vary weekly. Come and join us for the fun.

Alan mixes up the “mocktails” made this time from strawberries and water. Brenda helps to

serve the mocktails.

What’s HappeningOn July 4th, Serenades hosted an Independence Day celebration and cookout. We had over 25 family members come to join the festivities. Alan and the Dining Services Team, Pattie, Anna, Chris, Carmen and Carina worked hard to put out a traditional fourth of July cookout with hot dogs, hamburgers and all of the fixings. Even despite the heat, we all had a great day. Entertainment was provided after the cookout by Team Elliott entertainers.

Vera Edwards gets into the 4th of July spirit wearing her red white and blue derby with her daughter, Jody.

Larry Kotke and his daughter Karen and her husband, Mike, enjoy the cookout.

Pattie Sutram gets grill duty. Joanne Eckert and her family go through the cookout line.
