WELCOME FROM OUR PASTOR Jason J. Nelson, Pastor Good morning and welcome to worship! This morning we continue our sermon series called Heroes of the Faith by looking at the life of one of the most famous of them all—King David. When we study the life of King David in the Bible, we can see that he is one of the most fascinating, daring, courageous, and charismatic leaders in the Old Testament. At the same time, he is also one of the most pathetic. It’s true! Yes, David had a ton of successes and victories (the man killed a lion in the wilderness and brought down Goliath in hand-to-hand combat)! He was definitely a hero to many in stereotypical fashion; but he also messed up quite a few times and in big ways. He could have easily written the book on moral faults and failures because he had many. Then again, he was human. So what makes him a Hero of the Faith? This morning let’s take a glance at his life, and particularly at his heart, see if we can’t find an answer to this question, and be inspired in our own faith. CONNECT HEART TO HEART ‘GOES TO THE MOVIE’ On Wednesday, February 19, Hearth to Heart will be watching g the movie Overcomer. It is a 2 hour movie, so it will start promptly at 10am. Invite a friend and join us for this awesome movie!
