Dear Parents/Caregivers/Whanau

Welcome back for Term 3.

After my period of leave it is great to return. We have had an excellent start to the Term 3. Our students and staff have returned rested, happy and eager to start their new term of learning and teaching.

As a “child centred school” all our decisions are based on this philosophy. At St Johns Hill School we have a unique blend of social, environmental and cultural features. From my perspective the most important resource to maximise our students progress and achievement are our excellent teachers and support staff. I would like to thank Alison O’Hara and Kevin Booth for the excellent job they did as Acting Principals in my absence and the support given to them by our staff, especially Annette Parkinson our Admin Manager and Jo Maguire who is currently “acting up” as Deputy Principal. Also the ongoing committed support by our capable BOT lead by Janine Heerdegen. We are truly fortunate at St Johns Hill School.

Regards Michael
