Absences for the School Year
The maximum number of unexcused absences for the year is 9.
A student with 10 or more unexcused absences for the year will fail for the year.

missed Saturday School) Death of a relative/funeral leave Court (must be verified) Religious Observance License/Permit appointment Administrative approval

A parent note or phone call is not considered an
excused absence!!
Absence Due to Family Vacation
NOT considered excused absences Students should avoid taking any vacations
during school days. Students who are out due to vacation are
responsible for making up all missed work.
Dress CodeAll students are expected to come to school neat and clean in dress and appearance
The Following are not permitted:
- Excessively short skirts/shorts (finger-tip rule)- Bare midriffs/belly shirts- Muscle shirts/tank tops- Inappropriate logos and slogans- Clothing with external metal parts/long chains- Frayed or torn clothing- Hats, caps, flip flops, sandals, bandanas- Gang identification
SHORTS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN ANY SHOP!!
Safety Equipment and Clothing for ExploratoryThe following shops require Hair Restraints,
Safety Glasses, Work Clothing, and Steel Toe Safety Boots:
Auto Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, Electricity, Facilities Management, Graphic Communications, General Shop, HVAC, House and Mill Carpentry, Precision Machining, Metal Fabrication and Welding, Plumbing
NO ripped or frayed clothing. Full length pants ONLY. NO sweatpants allowed.
The Following Shops have additional safety requirements:
Health Careers: Hair restraint; safety glasses; large, loose, high neck, sleeved shirt; NO finger nail polish, nails cut 1/16 from end of finger
Culinary Arts: White button down dress shirt and black pants; NO fingernail polish; nails cut 1/16 from end of finger
Electronics: Safety Glasses
