1st IRU-LAS-AULT Seminar on International Transport Agreements
The IRU and the AULT organised together with the LAS the first joint seminar on international road transport agreements in Cairo on 25-26 October 2009.
On 28 October 2009, the LAS Council of Arab Ministers of
Transport called upon 22 Arab States to join and implement the UN
Conventions, notably TIR, and to continue cooperation with the IRU.

1. Identify the main cause of accidents involving trucks.
2. Promote effective, harmonised and internationally recognised standards for training of road transport professionals as provided by the IRU Academy.
3. Work together with the business community to improve road safety.
