Societies are another great way to meet like-minded friends and share your culture with others. Our student clubs include the African Caribbean Society, Afrolit Society and over 400 more for different interests. A diverse city Bristol is a friendly, safe city with a rich history and distinctive culture. The city is truly multicultural, home to people from 187 nationalities, speaking 91 languages. Inspirational alumni Our international alumni network includes nearly 300 students from or living in Nigeria, who are employed at organisations around the world. ‘Bristol was one of the few universities that satisfied my criteria of being a top university for engineering, offering integrated master’s courses, and being in a fairly large city. Applying to Bristol

Entry requirementsWe accept a wide range of qualifications. The table below will give you an idea of the typical requirements for each study level.

International Foundation Programme

Successful completion of SSCE (WASSCE) with minimum of 5 subjects with grade B. You may be asked to achieve a particular grade in required subjects.

One of the following: • Senior School Certificate combined

with a successfully completed appropriate foundation/bridging programme

• First year of a Nigerian university bachelor’s degree

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

• West African GCE A-levels • British A-levels

Postgraduate taught (Master’s: MSc, MA, MRes, LLM)

Undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree that is equivalent to a UK upper second class degree (also known as a 2:1)

English language requirementsIf your first language is not English, we will require proof of your English language ability. We accept a wide range of qualifications and tests.
