Organizing 5th Grade• Math

Leveled groups Based on MAP scores & Teacher Observation Fluid: we will adjust based on student needs

• Homework Math: Assigned by math teacher Vocabulary: Packet every week, in cursive No spelling or spelling tests No reading logs; but read at home anyway Other: Assigned by homeroom teacher On-time and completed homework = rewards

• Science and Social Studies Q1 and Q4 stay with homeroom teacher Q2 and Q3 switching to other 5th grade teachers

• Homework Rewards Earned by: Having a signed/initialed planner Homework complete & turned in on-time

• What rewards can be earned? Some examples: Sit in the teacher chair for a day Sit anywhere in the room for a day Show a favorite YouTube video to the class Bring in a show-and-tell item

4 Mastery of grade level standards without prompting or support

3 Meets grade level standards with minimal prompting and support

2 Partially meets grade level standards with some adult prompting and support

1 Performs below grade level standards even with adult prompting and support
