What do I do if I want to change degree schemes …..?

Changing degree schemes ….

1. It is possible to change degree schemes: Now Usually up to 4 weeks into term At the end of your 1st year (subject to satisfactory

results in your semester exams)

2. If you are registered for F800 and wish to move to L700 or F840, this could be left until the end of your first year.

3. See me at the end of today’s meeting if you THINK you might wish to change degree schemes.

Tuesday

Find out about the University’s computer facilities at an Essential Information on Using Our Network session (B23 Llandinam) BSc students 11am-1pm BA students 2pm-4pm You should attend one of these sessions during the week;

Attend a ‘Getting Started in the Library’ session (HO Library): BSc students 10am & 2pm BA students 12pm & 4pm Welsh medium 10am. You should attend one of these session during the week;

Tuesday

Attend an Effective Learning Session (organised by surname – see UWA induction pack or website for details) (A-I today);

Activate your e-mail account (Computing suite, Hugh Owen Library, 9am-5pm);

Collect your library card (Issue Desk, Hugh Owen Library, 9am-5pm);

Visit the Sports Clubs Fair in the Students’ Union; Collect your Students’ Union card; Go to one of the ‘Freshers’ Heroes’ events in the

evening.

Wednesday

Tutorial Group lists to be issued by e-mail. These will also be available on Blackboard and on the A-floor notice board. Your tutor will contact you to arrange the first meeting.

What you need to do now

1. Read the safety regulations in the handbook, fill in the declaration and bring it to registration tomorrow

2. Complete the medical questionnaire and bring it to registration tomorrow

3. Take the registration form with you, think about the option module you want to take, and bring the completed form with you to registration tomorrow

4. Read the fieldwork safety regulations, sign the declaration (Appendix 2) and bring it to registration tomorrow

5. Don’t forget the social evening tonight!
