Homework Binders

Sent home Monday with a reading log and math take-home books or review/extension pages as deemed appropriate

Homework binders due on Friday District homework policy Homework will begin the 3rd week of

school (September 13th)

Accelerated Reader and Other Reading Websites

AR (Accelerated Reader)-Web-based program to motivate students to read independently-Link on SEES Home Page AR-Log-in to take comprehension quizzes after reading stories at home-Record on reading log for homework-Correlation to improved test scores

Tumblebooks: -username: selijo-password: books

District and SEES Policies

Wellness Policy: no candy, healthy snacks, and avoid nuts if possible

Clothing: no flip-flops, spaghetti straps, or distracting jewelry

Sharing birthdays Attendance: inform office; 5 days or more

requires independent learning contract Tardies: check in at office if late; frequent

tardies interrupt student learning

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

SEES traffic policies on homepage Students may arrive as early as 8:15 Be sure your child knows how they

will be picked up that morning Students walk to zone if getting

picked up in a car Students walk in group to K.O.C. Students wait inside gate with

teacher if you walk to pick-up
