We’re in the process of developing at least two different fund options. These are tying directly in to the Catapult program; ie if you have been selected for the program and make it through the hurdles you will be funded.

While the fund may not be able to satisfy your total funding requirements, generally the fund will invest, which means your capital raise efforts are off to a flying start when we get that far.

The Catapult funds are managed at arms length from us. We don’t have a controlling say over their investments to provide certainty of neutrality and quality for the investors backing the fund.

We believe growing a business doesn’t have to be hard. It may be hard work, but there is plenty of research, systems, and people that can help you transform your business to operate on the next level.

We’re here to hold your hand, guide you through the jungles of sales, marketing, funding, leadership and much more.

Workshop (Revenue, Strategy, Vision, Short Term Funding)At this workshop we help you re–define the business so you can start making money or grow revenue in the short to medium term.

Included is follow up while we together create proof of your revenue.

It doesn’t matter what level your business is at, whether you just started or turning over $400K+ per month, we tend to find revenue that is right under your nose, easy to execute on and has a short lead-time.

SystemsMost businesses are sorted with CRM, CMS, financial systems and so forth. But when we dig deeper into TOS, Shareholders Agreements, Position Descriptions and so forth, it’s usually quickly realised there is much more to do.

equity capital. We work with you to create a pitch-deck. In many cases a short-form marketing plan is also required.

If your business is crowd–funded a full scale campaign is developed with you. We work

closely with leading crowd–funding experts to bring your campaign to success.

Capital Raise... assuming it's still the right strategy after completing the previous steps. Essentially, the process is creating a series of introductions, then going on a ‘road-show’ presenting constantly to investors, then negotiating and closing the deal(s) with you.

The process is intense but can be short (6-8 weeks) once all the above steps are completed. Think of this process not as trying to sell something but as a matchmaking exercise where we help you find the perfect investor–match

It’s important to understand this is not a process we can do for you, only with you. Through this process and to ensure your success we may introduce you to various VCs, Private Equity Firms, Capital Raising Firms and others.

ConclusionWe have deliberately cut the process into these seven steps. It means together we can ensure you get a great outcome from every step.

OutcomesDoing one Revenue Workshop recently with a business (not in revenue yet) we found an extra $60K in the revenue workshop. That’s $60K per month! They’re not yet at the stage where they can execute on that, but the investor proposition looks a lot better with an additional 30% of revenue that carries a 10% cost base.

With another company we devised a targeted JV roll-out strategy that will see the company go from zero to about $5,000 per week in revenue as they finally start out. What your results are remains to be seen, but what we provide is very tangible.

What we do know is that going out to raise capital on the premise that “it’s such a great business they’re bound to invest!” does NOT work.

There has been much written in recent months by very experienced people in incubators and venture capital that the average Australian first capital raise is too small.

Not that bigger is always better, but if you don’t raise enough money and then run out in your expansion process, then what? The trouble is that without doing the revenue growth work up front you can’t justify a higher raise—or your valuation would look crazy. That’s why the Catapult process is essential to your success.
