Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest International Marathon
More than 8000 persons from 50 countries are expected at the
7th edition of Raiffeisen Bucharest International Marathon, on
October 4th and 5th, to run the marathon, half -marathon, relay
and popular races. Parents with kids under 4 years old can run
the 800m “Diapers Jogging”. Kids with ages between 5-12 years
also have their dedicated races.

Itinerary:
Aproximate duration: 4 hours
The best way to fully appreciate Bucharest is to spend a full day of in-depth
exploring this city dubbed Little Paris in the ’30. We stroll on the major
boulevards, starting with the Press House, Arch of Triumph, then we will proceed
trough Victoria Avenue, University Square and we will end up in the Civic Centre.
Visit to The House of Parliament.
The House of Parliament or, as it is called by the romanian people, People’s
the headquarters of the Romanian Parliament. The construction began in 1984
and it is not completely finished today, because it was interrupted after de fall of
the comunist government in 1989. For it’s execution many houses were
demolished and at the contruction worked 700 architects and over 20.000
workers. It holds 3 Guiness World records, for beeing the biggest, the heaviest
and the most expensive executive building in the world(its cost where evaluated
to 3 billion euros).
After that, we stop in the Old City Centre.
Stroll on the cobblestreets of Lipscani (from Lipsca or Leipzig) District, the place
where the Romanian, Austrian, German, Greek, Bulgarian merchants and
craftsmen established their shops at the beginning of the 1400s. Today it is home
to many coffeehouses, antique shops and art galleries! The tour includes The
Old Princely Court and its Church, which is Bucharest`s oldest church,
Stavropoleos Church, a delicate jewel built by a Greek monk, the National Bank
of Romania.
We will stop at Manuc Inn’s, one of the oldest restaurants in Bucharest, to have a
cofee while listening to live music played at the guitar.

Itinerary:

Visit Bran Castle.
Bran Castle is less than 30 km away
from Brasov; famous after the Irish
writer, Bram Stoker, called it Dracula’s
Castle; it was first documented in 1377.
Today, it hosts the Bran Museum,
displaying ceramics, furniture, weapons
and armors. It also includes a Bram
Stoker room, presenting the legend of
Vlad Tepes (also knwon as Vlad Dracul),
as well as the Dracula myth. In the
castle’s yard there is a village museum
presenting the life of folk people, working
habits and traditions in Bran.
Lunch on your own at a local restaurant.
Afterwards, free time for a little shopping.
Return to Bucharest in the afternoon.

European brown bears and one Asiatic

sanctuary in the world, it consists of 69
hectares of lush forests, streams and pools,
graciously provided by the City of Zărnești,
located at the foot of the Carpathian
Mountains near Brașov, Romania.

Brasov Tour– one of the greatest German
cities in Transylvania. The city’s central point is
Piata Sfatului, from where you can go to: the
Black Church (built in 1383) – during the
Habsburg’s siege of the city, in 1689, a fire
blackened the church walls and killed 3000
people, giving it its current name;The Street of
the Cord (Strada Sforii) – one of the city’s
curiosities, it is considered the narrowest street
in Eastern Europe (measuring between 111 and
135 cm wide and 80 m long); the first
Romanian school – built in 1495 in Scheii
Brasovului neighborhood.
