JESUS’ STORYSo what is the story of Jesus?

The story doesn't begin with his birth, and it doesn't end with his death. It begins before the creation of the universe, and it ends after it ceases to exist. His life, death, and resurrection are part of a plan he helped architect. Being at the right hand of God the Father, he helped to form the world. He was there when God created Adam and Eve. He was there when Adam and Eve walked in communion with God in the Garden.

John 1: 1-3In the beginning was the Word [Christ], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the

beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command not to eat of the

forbidden fruit, sin entered the world, and man deserved to die. Rom 6:23

For the wages of sin is death

However, God did not want man to die, and began a plan to rescue man from his sin. His plan became a promise when He made a covenant with Abraham, the father of the nation of Israel. His promise was fulfilled with the birth of a Messiah, the one who would save all people from their sins. His name is Jesus, the Christ, the one foretold by the prophets of Israel, God's chosen nation.
