Information about Marks

Grade nine English is a required course. Students must pass with a minimum mark of 60% in order to pass grade nine.

Each semester is worth 50% of the year mark.

The January exam must be written by everyone.

The term mark is composed of marks derived from daily work (assignments, journals, reading portfolio, class work etc.), finished products (projects, writing assignments, oral presentations, etc.), tests, and class mark (homework assignments, notebook check, time on task, etc.).
