In order to make the most of your experience and to keep the facility looking and playing beautifully for many years to come, here are a few guidelines to facilitate everyone’s enjoyment of Clark County’s premier athletic fields complex. 1. There are 5 fields at the park: 3 synthetic fields and 2 natural turf fields. All fields are lighted. There is a concessions stand, a playgound, restrooms, picnic tables, a large meeting room, scoreboards, batting cages, bullpens, an amazing sound system, and much more! 3. We do not allow animals, food, or beverages (except water) on the synthetic turf. Sunflower seeds, gum, peanuts, and similar food items are also not allowed on the fields or in the dugouts. 4. Similarly, metal and/or steel spikes are prohibited on the synthetic fields. Propelling objects into the fencing throughout the park is a no-no as well. 5. Sorry, but skateboards, roller blades, bicycles, and scooters aren’t allowed in the park. Please keep them at home for the safety and enjoyment of all the park’s guests. 6. Field use fees range from $20/hr. to $65/hr. depending upon the age group your organization serves, and their Clark County residency status. Field prep & maintenance fees apply to every reservation and are between $25- $45/day. Lights are an additional $12/hr. 7. Insurance is required for use by organized groups of 10 or more. Synthetic Turf Field Use Restrictions To enhance everyone’s enjoyment of the facility and to protect your multi-million dollar investment, the following are prohibited on the synthetic turf fields at Luke Jensen Sports Park:

1. Propelling objects into fencing 2. Metal Spikes (rubber/plastic cleats or sneakers only) 3. Food 4. Beverages except water 5. Chewing Gum, Sunflower Seeds, and Peanuts 6. Alcohol, Smoking, and Tobacco Products 7. Use of Stakes 8. Pets 9. Fires, BBQ’s, & Camping 10. Firearms, Fireworks 11. Skating, Bicycling, Scooters, Rollerblading 12. Unauthorized Vehicles 13. Golf, Cricket, and Archery 14. Glass Bottles and Sharp Objects 15. Any item or substance that may damage, stain, or permanently alter facilities, structures, or playing surfaces

LUKE JENSEN SPORTS PARK

4000 NE 78th Street – Vancouver, WA 98665 Facility Description A 20-acre sports facility containing one lighted, large, multi-use synthetic turf field, two multi-purpose synthetic turf fields, one lighted and one non-lighted natural turf baseball field, three wireless scoreboards, a sound system, dug-outs, batting cages, a 2,200 square foot concessions room, a 2,200 square foot meeting room, permanent restrooms, a small playground, parking lots, access roads, walking and biking paths, picnic tables, and benches. A six-acre forested neighborhood park on the north side of the property also offers walking trails, a bench and picnic table, and opportunities for passive nature exploration. Availability The park is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Salmon Creek Little League and Vancouver West Soccer Club are the primary field users. The two grass fields are closed eight weeks per year for rest, recovery, and maintenance. All fields are available for rental when not in use by Salmon Creek Little League and Vancouver West Soccer Club.

Liability Insurance Requirements

The field users shall be responsible for any and all damage to Clark County premises, equipment, and

property. If (after an activity) additional maintenance is required (in excess of normal services/time),

the applicant will be charged accordingly. Clark County is not responsible for accidents, injuries or loss/damage to property of individuals/groups using the fields and facilities. The applicant will be held

responsible and liable for all actions, behavior, and damages caused by its participants, guests, and

attendees. All applicants requesting use of the athletic fields will be required to provide Clark County

with an original Certificate of Insurance (ACORD FORM) providing proof of the following coverage:

1. Insurance coverage with a Best’s minimum rating of A-VII and minimum liability limits of one

million dollars ($1,000,000) per occurrence and two million dollars ($2,000,000) in the

aggregate for its liability exposures, including commercial general liability, and auto liability

(only if vehicles are used). The policy must have no less than $10,000 med-pay coverage, be

primary above all other collectible insurance, and renew annually. Clark County, its

officers, employees, and agents must be named as additionally insured, and we

need a full set of the full policy language to include the additional insured

endorsement.

2. The coverage shall not be canceled or reduced without a minimum of 30 day written notice

to Clark County.

3. The certificate must be submitted to Clark County, located at 4700 NE 78th St., Vancouver,

WA, 98665 a minimum of 10 days prior to the event.

4. Field Users shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend Clark County, its officials, employees

and agents from any and all liability, demands, claims, causes of action, suits or judgments,

including costs, attorney fees and expenses incurred in connection therewith, of whatsoever

kind of nature, arising out of, or in connection with, or incident to, the exercise of the

Property by the field user.

5. This indemnity, hold harmless, and defense provision shall include any claim made against the

County by an employee, subcontractor, or agent of the field user even if the field user is

otherwise immune from liability pursuant to the worker’s compensation statute, Title 51

RCW, except to the extent that such liability arises from the sole gross negligence of the

County.

2019-20 AGREEMENT CONTRACT I have applied for field use as an official representative of: I hereby certify, on behalf of my organization, that we understand and agree:

1. To accept the terms and conditions outlined in the Luke Jensen Sports Park Field Rental and Operations Guide.

2. To abide and enforce all guidelines and regulations listed in the Field Rental and Operations Guide, and inform our members of the guidelines and regulations.

3. To pay the required fees and deposits as listed in the Field Rental and Operations Guide.

4. To schedule our organization’s activities only on the hours, dates, and fields assigned for our use by Clark County Parks. I understand that sub-letting of fields is not allowed and is grounds for permit revocation.

5. To procure and maintain for the duration of the agreement, the appropriate levels of required insurance as is specified in the Field Rental and Operations Guide.

6. To indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Clark County, its officials, employees and agents from any and all liability, demands, claims, causes of action, suits or judgments, including costs, attorney fees and expenses incurred in connection therewith, of whatsoever kind of nature, arising out of, or in connection with, or incident to, the exercise of the Property by my organization.
