WELCOME TO NAPT 2019Welcome to the beautiful city of Miami for the National Association for Proton Therapy’s annual National Proton Conference at The Biltmore Hotel – Coral Gables. Alongside the beauty and warmth of Southern Florida, our conference planning committee has assembled an impressive program featuring well-known speakers covering relevant topics facing proton therapy today and into the future. Whether your interests surround clinical and business operations, patient advocacy, research, advances in technology or other areas of proton therapy, this conference has something for everyone.
We hope during your stay here in Miami that you find time to take advantage of the outstanding amenities offered by The Biltmore Hotel and the surrounding beauty that has made Miami a resort destination for decades. You can relax at the Biltmore’s world famous pool which is one of the nation’s largest pools, sharpen your golf game on their historic David Ross championship golf course, or escape to their luxurious spa for an afternoon of pampering. It’s all right here.
The goal of this year’s conference is to serve as an extension of our mission to educate and increase awareness about the clinical benefits of proton therapy; ensure patient choice and access; and to encourage cooperative research and innovation. All of our program sessions are centered around these ideals and our hope is that you and others find the information presented valuable. We are also excited about the opportunity to honor a pioneer in the field of proton therapy, Dr. George Laramore, at our Lifetime Leadership Award Luncheon. We hope you join us in our excitement about this conference truly shaping up to be an exciting time to recognize the past, discuss the present, and look towards the future of proton therapy.
Speaking on the behalf of the conference planning committee, we thank you for joining us for this year’s conference.
Sincerely,
Scott Warwick
Executive Director
National Association for Proton Therapy
