Welcome to our Gospel Meeting!
Introducing Gospel Preacher, Phil Sanders
Philip D. Sanders was born in 1951 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was married to Jackie Dodgen in 1974. They are parents of four daughters: Christa, Chara and Tara, and Laura; and grandparents to twelve grandchildren. Phil attended and graduated from Oklahoma Christian College, 1974, BA. Bible and Biblical Languages. He also earned an M.A.R. in Christian Doctrine from the Harding Graduate School of Religion in 1983. Phil then obtained his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the Theological University of America, in 1998.
Brother Phil Sanders is nationally known, having served as the speaker for “In Search of the Lord’s Way,” a nationally broadcasted television ministry of Edmond Church of Christ, since 2009. Phil has been involved in active ministry for more than 48 years, and has served as an Adjunct Professor for Georgia School of Preaching, Marietta, Georgia and Adjunct Professor for Asian Christian University, in the Philippines. He also served as an Instructor for the Nashville School of Preaching and Biblical Studies for eleven years, as well as working for six years as an Instructor at Amridge University (formerly Southern Christian University) which has its main campus in Montgomery, Alabama. Phil is a board member of Lads to Leaders. Lads to Leaders is a training program used by the churches of Christ to help prepare their youth and adults for service in the Kingdom of God and to help develop their overall leadership potential. Phil Sanders is the author of several books and is a frequent speaker at lectureships, gospel meetings and seminars. He has contributed many articles to Gospel Advocate and Spiritual Sword. He is the author of A New Life (2015); A Faith Built on Sand: The Foolishness of Popular Religion in a Postmodern Age (2011); Adrift: Postmodernism in the Church (2000); Let All the Earth Keep Silence (2006); Evangelism Handbook of New Testament Christianity (2009). He has also written several books which are online. The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 10 starting with verse 14, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent?
As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Gospel preacher, Jesse P. Sewel (1876-1969), back in 1957 during his last series of gospel meetings, capped off one of his lessons with the following statement. “Who is a Gospel preacher? He is a man, but he is a man redeemed by grace through faith, standing in Christ’s stead, under His authority, and by His command, proclaiming His Gospel, making it plain, strong, and urgent in such a way that responsible man can believe it, and accept it unto life, or reject it unto death.” Brother Sanders is here to do the same thing. Please plan to have perfect attendance for this gospel meeting and to continue to invite as many folks as possible to attend with you. Lost souls are the goal!!
