Promises and resolutions don’t keep you from

The Second State Of Denial

We’re cool at admitting certain

sins or sinful tendencies in our

lives(lying, gossiping, stealing, etc.)

We Deny Things We Have Done


But we play cover-up with more

graphic or grotesque behaviors!



WHY?“Because, what

will people think of me?”



Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Samson, David, Solomon, Peter and Paul

didn’t havethat option!



GOD SAYS:“Here are these guys,

and here is what they

did!”



LOOK AT MY GRACE!

ISN’T IT AMAZING?



To the world, the folks at Fellowship Church seem to be

pretty good


“Oh, they have sinners there – but not like

me!”

HERE’S WHATI THINK!


I think there are some really bad

people here – who have done some

really terrible things(and you’re making it by the Grace

of God)


Real


That’s why we relate to Peter

He was



His life is on display, and that gives us hope!



What about our world?

Does it have a clue about what God has

done for us?



Does it know how far God had to reach

down to save us?



Does it know how we struggle every

day with unbelievable sin

issues?



Does it see how we are making it and that there is hope

for them too?


Peter learned, that inspite of his own sinful

tendencies and weakness, the Lord

wanted to use him and would sustain him, no

matter what!


EMBRACE YOUR FAILURESOwning up to them can be a catalyst to being used mightily

of God



EXPERIENCING GOD’S FORGIVENESS IS

POWERFULSharing it bringshope to others



You’re not braggingover sins committed, you’re bragging on

God’s wonderfulmercy, cleansing

and healing power!


Before Peter’s Denials,He Was Clothed In His

Own Self-Righteousness I’ll never deny you

I don’t need to pray about temptation I can fight in my own strength I can stand alone

John 21:14-1917 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
