Teaching Moment:
Why do we refer to Jesus as the “Lamb of God” ? Since the lamb was the most common victim in the Jewish system of sacrifices and the most familiar type of an offering To God, it was especially appropriate that Our Lord should be called the “Lamb of God”. It was also true that the lamb was a worthy type of Christ in its guilelessness and innocence. Quite certainly the lamb of the Passover sacrifice and the lamb of the daily sacrifices pointed to the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ, even as the figurative of the “Lamb” in Messianic prophecies was quite common. Thus, the title carries with it the ideas of innocence, sacrifice, and redemption.

Dear Risen Lord Jesus, You have burst out of the tomb. You declare that now death is just an illusion, and we should start living life bravely, deeply, lovingly, fearlessly. We are to start living life differently… not just after death, but now. Jesus, breathe resurrection into our Church so we can:
Be hospitable to everyone instead of smug and righteous
Have rituals and spiritual practices that are life-giving instead of boring and empty
Stop doing ugly things that make people leave the Church or even doubt you rose
Start doing brave things for you that create justice and spread mercy
You, Risen Lord, are the best news we’ve gotten all year…or since creation started. Help us to follow you! Fr. Mike and St. Margaret Mary Parish
Querido Señor Jesús Resucitado, Has estallado de la tumba. Usted declara que ahora la muerte es sólo una ilusión, y que deberíamos empezar a vivir la vida con valentía, profundamente, con amor, sin temor. Tenemos que empezar a vivir la vida diferente… no sólo después de la muerte, pero ahora. Jesús, respira resurrección en nuestra Iglesia para que podamos:
• Ser hospitalarios a todos en lugar de presumidos y justos • Tener rituales y prácticas espirituales que son vivificante en vez de aburrido y vacíos • Dejar de hacer cosas feas que hacen que la gente se vaya de la Iglesia o incluso dudar que resucitaste • Empezar a hacer cosas valientes para usted que crean la justicia y la misericordia Tú, Señor resucitado, eres la mejor noticia que hemos recibido durante todo el año… o desde que comenzó la creación. ¡Ayúdanos a seguirte!

Bringing Teens Closer to Christ through Prayer,

All events are in the Teen Center on Sundays after the
5:00 p.m. Youth Mass and end at 8:30 p.m.

Sacrament of Confirmation:
Sacrament of Confirmation Rehearsal: We will have
our confirmation rehearsal for all students and sponsors on Monday, May 19th in the church at 6pm.
Sacrament of Confirmation: Ceremony will be on May 21st and May 22nd, 2014 at 7:00pm for year 3 students who have completed all confirmation requirements. The ceremony will be at St. Margaret Mary’s Church. Students of George, Emily and Cathy = May 21st Students of Adrian, Bobbie and Christina = May 22nd Year 3 Confirmation Requirement Checklist ___ Saint paper completed. Due: April 10th, 2014. ___ Choose sponsor and attend last confirmation student/sponsor event: Last event will be on Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 in the parish from 7pm to 8:30pm
___ Complete 20 service hours. Due: March 31st, 2014.

Kid’s Night Out! (4-26-14)
Parents: Drop off your kids, ages 4 -12, and enjoy a night out! The Vacation Bible School catechists will keep your kids busy and entertained with crafts, games, bible stories, etc. from
6:00-10:00pm on April 26, 2014
