GED Process for Success
Intake• New Beginnings Intake Form.• GED Program Registration
Form.• Copy of Picture ID.• Schedule Pre-Assessment.
Pre-Assessment
• TABE (Tests of Adult Basic Education) evaluation.
• Analysis of TABE results.• Recommendations for plan of study.
Self-Study Tutoring
• Independent study.• Guided materials provided based on
skill-level assessment.• Tutor assistance on specific
questions.
Pre-Testing• Take 3 different pre-tests.
– Score at least 450 on each version.
• Timed, under supervision• Score and review errors.
– More academic work needed?– More testing practice needed?
State Testing • Successful Practice Tests.• GED Test Registration Form.• Demographic Form.• Make Test Appointment.• Arrive at 8:30 on Test Day.
