AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
MY JESUS, I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE PRESENT IN THE MOST HOLY SACRAMENT.
I LOVE YOU ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND I DESIRE TO RECEIVE YOU INTO MY SOUL.
SINCE I CANNOT AT THIS MOMENT RECEIVE YOU SACRAMENTALLY, COME AT LEAST SPIRITUALLY INTO MY HEART.
I EMBRACE YOU AS IF YOU WERE ALREADY THERE AND UNITE MY-SELF WHOLLY TO YOU. NEVER PERMIT ME TO BE SEPARAT-ED FROM YOU.
AMEN

“PRAYER IN TIME OF PANDEMIC”
O God, whose Only Begotten Son bore the weight of human suffering for our salvation, hear the prayers of your Church for our sick brothers and sisters and deliver us from this time of trial. Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your Son: Be not afraid, for I am with you always. Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants; give us the wisdom to do what is right and the faith to endure this hour, that we might gather once again to praise your name in the heart of your Church, delivered from all distress and confident in your mercy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen From the office of our Most Rev. Robert J. McManus Bishop of Worcester
Please take note of the following envelope name changes:

Facing Fear with Jesus in a COVID-19 World
Our country faces a host of fears: sickness and death from a worldwide pandemic, job, and financial loss, loneliness, and radical changes in our society. But the storm that surrounds us is nothing that we can-not handle with Jesus’ help. He is not asleep in our boat. Explore eight concrete tips from the Bible, the Saints, and our Catholic Faith. The session includes prayer, reflection, small group sharing, and presen-tations. Speakers: John and Therese Boucher, teachers and authors of hundreds of articles and many books. Tuesday, December 8, 7:00-9:00 pm FREE REGISTRATION (limited spaces available)! Send an email with your name, email, and phone number to Esperanza Oliveras, [email protected], by Mon-day, December 7, 2020, to receive the Zoom.com video session link. (Hosted by the Parish Renewal and Evangelization Committee, Diocese of Worces-ter.)
URBAN MISSIONARIES OF OUR LADY OF HOPE 242 CANTERBURY ST
WORCESTER, MA 01603 The Christmas Giving Tree Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are making available the following op-tions so that you and your family may participate in the Giving Tree. We would urge you to participate in one of the options listed below because this Christmas season many more families are looking for some help with their Christmas needs. Option 1: You can obtain a “virtual tag” for a gift that a mother has asked for one of her children by going to www.urbanmissionaries.com and clicking on the tab “To join our virtual Christmas Giving Tree”. You will receive your tag via email.
If you purchase the gift online then we would suggest that you opt to ship the gift directly to us at the Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope, 242 Can-terbury St. Worcester MA 01603. All that is needed is that you put the tag ID number in the comment section of your order so we will know who the gifts belong to.
Option 2: We can buy the gift for you. Just go to our “Go fund me” tab on our website, www.urbanmissionaries.com and make a cash donation. We will use your donation to purchase a gift. Options 3: You may also make out a check payable to St. Antony of Padua send it to: St. Antony of Padua and in the memo put: Urban Missionary-Christmas Dona-tion. Dear St. Anthony’s Parishioners, we thank you for your attention and understand-ing that due to these extreme circumstances we will not be putting the physical tags on the tree this year to avoid any contagions. We thank you for your great support every year to this worthy cause. Should you have any further questions you may contact: Walter Doyle @ Urban Missionaries Of Our Lady of Hope Email: [email protected] Or by calling: 1-(508)-831-7455 Or at the website listed above. God Bless.
SEMINARIAN GIFT CARDS
This year the Vocation Office is adapting the annual “Seminarian Giving-Tree” tradition during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important for us to keep safety in mind for everyone. The need for our men in formation for the priesthood is still great, and we are once again asking for your support. If you would like to participate, please mail a gift card of any amount in an envelope addressed to “Seminarians, 51 Illinois St., Worcester, MA 01610.” Suggested stores where the seminarians can purchase both everyday items or the books they need for their education include Amazon, Barnes & Noble, CVS, Staples, or Walmart. We will equitably sort the cards sent to the House of Studies and distribute them to the seminarians at Christmas time. Thank you kindly in advance for your generosity and know of our prayers for you and your loved ones. God bless. Thank you, Father Donato Infante Vocation Director Holy Name of Jesus House of Studies 51 Illinois Street Worcester, MA 01610 TEL 508-630-4473
GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD. AS WE CELEBRATE THIS THANKSGIVING SEASON WITH OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS MAY WE GIVE THANKS FOR
THE BLESSINGS THAT ARE BESTOWED ON US EACH AND EVERY DAY.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES. AMEN.
First Sunday of Advent
“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.” (Mark 13:33) We all take things for granted. In particular, we take time for granted. We make our lives too busy. We plan our time, our days, weeks, months, even years in advance. Remember, our time on earth is a gift. None of us knows how long we will be here. Start today and begin thanking God for each and every day. Take time in silence, every day, and listen to how God is calling you right now to help build His kingdom on earth.
St. Anthony of Padua, over the past many years has had a food collection for the Webster-Dudley Food Share at the Thanksgiving morning Mass. This year we will collect food over the next several weekends. When food was delivered to the food share last week James Alkire, who coordinates the food share- thanked the " good people" of St. Anthony's for their gen-erosity and then provided a list of most needed items. The following is a list of what is currently needed: Large Juice Bottles, Tuna, Canned meat, Canned Chili, Peanut Butter ,Cereal, Soups.
NO GLASS NO EXPIRED DATES Thank you for your support.
