SESQUICENTENNIAL (150 YEARS) OF ST. PATRICK-HALDER

Join us September 12, 2021, in celebrating this milestone and in-vite your family and friends who have ties to St. Patrick Parish! Mass at 10 AM followed by lunch and social. Commemorative items will be available for purchase. There will be a raffle drawing at 1:30 PM, a Silent Auction, Bingo, Bean Bag Tournament and children’s activities.

ST. MARY FALL FESTIVAL, COLBY Sunday, September 12, 2021, Mass at 10:30 AM. Chicken & ham dinner 10:30 AM-1:00 PM, Adults: $10; Children (12 & under) $5; Preschool: Free. Meals served in take-out boxes to eat on grounds or take home; drive-up available west side of 2nd Street in front of church by calling 715-223-3033. Activities will include an outdoor auction at 1 PM, cash raffle drawing at 3 PM, carnival games, petting zoo, competitions and refreshment stands.

MASS SERVERS BOWLING/PIZZA PARTY

We will be having a bowling/pizza party at EML on September 12th at 12:00 PM for all Mass servers from both parishes. All current Mass servers as well as anyone in 3rd through 12th grade interested in becoming a server are welcome to join us. SPECIAL COLLECTION TO AID HAITI

Bishop Callahan has asked the parishes of the diocese to participate in an emergency collection to aid Haiti due to the earthquake and tropical storm disasters. The need is immediate, so we will take up this collection at the Masses this weekend, August 28th & 29th. Please make checks payable to the parish and write “Haiti” on the memo line.

CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), Level 1, will be starting September 27th/28th on Mondays or Tuesdays from 2:40-5 PM for children 3-6 years of age. It is a Montessori-based Catholic faith in scripture and liturgy where children grow in their relationship with God. Classes will be held in the atrium located next to the adoration chapel in St. John the Baptist Church, Marshfield. To register your child or for more information, please call Jean at 715-387-0571. Donations are appreciated! Needed items are YES paste, tracing paper, large crayons, flowers and plants.

DIOCESE OF LA CROSSE GUIDELINES FOR REPORTING INSTANCES OF CHILD ABUSE

The Diocese of La Crosse, through its policies and procedures, seeks to provide a prompt, appropriate and compassionate response to reporters of sexual abuse of a child by any diocesan agent (bishop, priest, deacon, employee, religious, vendor or volunteer). Anyone wishing to make a report of an allegation of sexual abuse should send that report to Mrs. Karen Becker, Complaint Intake Agent, at the Diocese of La Crosse, P.O. Box 4004, La Crosse, WI 54602-4004. Alternatively, you can contact Mrs. Becker at 608.791.0179 or [email protected]. The reporting form is available through the Diocese of La Crosse Office of Safe Environment or on the diocesan website at: diolc.org/safe-environment/reporting. Individuals are also encouraged to take their reports directly to civil authorities. Copies of the diocesan policy are available through your local parish and on the diocesan website. ST. JOSEPH PCCW NEWS

St. Joseph ladies are reminded of the PCCW meeting scheduled for September 9th at 7 PM in the new meeting room (also known as the Brides Room). It is accessible via the ramp into the church. This is our first meeting since February of 2020. There is a lot to discuss going forward including officers terms, funeral dinners, and even a scrap quilt raffle, or just come to check out the quilts. There will not be a lunch or snacks for this meeting.
