PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY Divine Saviour, Jesus Christ, Who have entrusted your work of re-
demption to the priests, Who take your place on earth, I offer You, through the hands of Your most holy Mother, for the sanctification of Your priests and future priests this whole day, all my prayers, works, joys, sacrifices and sufferings. Give us saintly priests. Grant to them apostolic hearts, filled with love for You and all the souls belonging to You, so that, being them-selves sanctified in You, they may sanctify us who are entrust-ed to their care and bring us safely into Heaven. Loving Jesus, bless all their priestly work and sacrifice. Bless all their prayers and words at the altar and in the confessional, in the pulpit, in the school and at the sickbed. Call many young men to the priesthood and the monastic life. Protect and sancti-fy all who will become Your priests. And grant to the souls of the priests who have departed this life, eternal rest. And do you, Mary, Mother of all priests, take them under your special protection and lead them ever to the highest priestly sanctity. Amen.

NOVENARIO PARA LOS DIFUNTOS
La Iglesia dedica el mes de noviem-bre a los difuntos. En nuestra Iglesia se
llevará a cabo una novena de Misas por nuestros di-funtos, comenzando con la misa de vigilia de los fie-les Difuntos,octubre 31. Sírvase del sobre especial para incluir los nombres de sus difuntos para que se coloquen sobre el altar para el novenario. San Agus-tín decía: “Una lágrima se evapora, una flor se mar-chita, sólo la oración llega al trono de Dios”.

St. Joseph ‘s Young Knights will be host-ing their annual Food Drive. This event can on-
ly be successful through prayer and the community’s assistance. For the next few Sundays until November 17th, please drop off non-perishable food items in the box at the entrance of the church or near the altar. Items can in-clude cereal boxes, canned food, canned
beans, rice/pastas, baby food, etc. We will be delivering the food to needy families in our neighborhood. Thank you for your coopera-tion!!

Art Contest for the
2018 Pro-Life Rosary Walk
This art contest is open to all students, 1st –12th grades in the Diocese of Laredo. Posters should reflect the theme "Every life is Cherished, Chosen and Sent.” Deadline for submission of art is November 19, 2018 at 5:00 PM For more information call Mrs. Martha Miller 727-2140.
