On behalf of IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja & The National Physique Committee (NPC) President, Jim Manion, we would like to cordially welcome you to the 2017 Olympia Amateur Las Vegas.

Since 1965, the Mr. Olympia competition has served as the definitive measure of excellence and prestige for bodybuilding athletes and enthusiasts across the globe. By bringing this world-class competition to Las Vegas for the very first time, athletes from across the region will be invited to take part in the unprecedented expansion of one of the world’s fastest-growing athletic disciplines.

Location

One thing is for sure: Las Vegas is a city that needs no introduction. But, with its five-star resorts, world-class restaurants and boutiques, and spectacular entertainment and nightlife, Nevada’s largest city has long outgrown its adult playground connotation. It has truly earned its spot as one of the world’s premier tourist destinations, and no one can accuse Las Vegas of being a one-trip gambling pony these days.

The 850-seat Orleans Showroom is one of Las Vegas’ top off-Strip destinations for live entertainment, hosting such renowned entertainers as Natalie Cole, Don Rickles, Wynonna, Dana Carveyand the Temptations. McCarran International Airport is located at 5757 Wayne Newton Boulevard, just two miles from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip and 15 miles from downtown and is easily accessed via I-215, Tropicana Avenue, or Russell Road.

Terminal 1Taxicabs are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1 - 4.

Terminal 3At Terminal 3, taxis are conveniently located outside on Level Zero. There are 20 taxi loading positions on the west end of the building to serve domestic travelers and 10 loading positions on the east side of the building to accommodate international travelers.

Courtesy shuttle service is available to transport you between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Just look for the McCarran logo and soon you'll be on your way.Service is provided approximately every 12-15 minutes.

Participation

Important notice

This event is open to competitors from The National Physique Committee (NPC) and all IFBB-affiliated National Federations across North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean. The number of competitors who can participate is unlimited.

IFBB athletes who wish to register for the 2017 Olympia Amateur Las Vegas will only be considered if they are nominated by their IFBB-affiliated National Federation by sending the Final Entry Forms with their names to the Organizing Committee office, with a copy to the IFBBHead Office in Madrid and IFBB Technical Committee.

All costs of traveling, hotel accommodation, transportation to and from the airport, and meals are the responsibility of the sponsoring National Federations or the individual athletes themselves. Check with your National Federation for more information.

The official IFBB Registration Fee is 250USD per athlete, for all competitors registered prior to September 1, 2017. Advanced payments can be made via PayPal or credit card through the following link: http://www.ifbb.com/competition-registration/.

The official NPC Registration Fee is 250USD per athlete, for all competitors registered prior to September 1, 2017. Please forward your registration form and fee to Mr. Olympia, LLC.

The registration fee after September 1, 2017 will be 500USD.

All athletes will have to produce their IFBB International or NPC cards at registration. Any athlete who has not yet purchased their IFBB International or NPC card will have to purchase one at registration. IFBB cards cost 40USD per year. NPC cards cost 125USD per year. IFBB and NPC cards are mandatory.

Posing Music

All posing music must be on an audio CD only. The posing music must be at the start of the CD. Each competitor must include his/her name on the CD for easy identification. The useof profane, vulgar, and offensive language isstrictly prohibited in all posing music. Posing music is limited to 60 seconds.

Tanning Needs

The IFBB has banned all tans that can be wiped off. An official will check the tan of all athletes backstage and if the tan comes off by simply wiping, the athlete will be told to remove the tan before going on stage.On-site tanning services will be provided by world-renowned tanning product provider Pro Tan. Backstage access andDressing room access

Camera and/or videotape

Access to the backstage and/or dressing room areas shall be strictly limited to essential personnel only. Coaches and trainers who assist athletes in the dressing room area must be of the same sex as the athlete they are assisting. There will be a limit of 1 individual per team. (Example: Team of 10, 1 coach)

Camera and/or videotape equipment is strictly prohibited in the backstage and/or dressing room areas, except when used by IFBB-authorized media persons and, in any event, these devices shall be strictly prohibited in the dressing room area.

Judges
