Good Shepherd buys gift cards at a discount and sells them at face value. The difference is the profit. VINCENT DEPAUL REFLECTION Today as we celebrate Pentecost the Holy Spirit wants to make us advocates of God’s presence to bring new life to others, especial-ly those who do not know the love of God in their lives. Silent Auction needs your help The Summer Social Committee is looking for donations to include in the Silent Auction and Luck of the Draw baskets. There will be sign up sheets for the items needed in the back of church over the next few weeks. If you would like to donate an item, please mark your name and contact info on the sheets. We ask that all items are new! All items need to be turned into the parish office no later than Thursday, May 31. We really appreciate your sup-port for our parish event! SCHOOL RETIREMENTS Mrs. Lynn Scheessele (Kindergarten) , Mrs. Patti Woolen (Grade 3), Mrs. Karen Henderson (Assistant), and Mrs. Sherri Beyer (Assistant) are retiring at the end of this school year. Good Shepherd Catholic School has been blessed with their many years of service. Please join us in congratulating these ladies and thanking them for their service. We will be “showering” them with cards of gratitude on May 23 at Mass. Please feel free to drop off a card at the school office. All are welcome to join us on Wednesday,. May 23 at 7:40 for our final school Mass.

PICNIC WITH THE BISHOP Attention young people! Join others for a relaxing evening with Bishop Siegel on Thursday, May 31 at 4:00 PM at St. John Parish, Daylight. Anyone in high school or older is welcome to attend. We’ll have Mass, presentations by priests, religious brothers and sisters and lay church ministers, followed by supper and some time to have fun. CHILDREN’S LITURGY

Children’s Liturgy is in need of two adults who would enjoy sharing God’s word with His children the second Saturday of each month during the 4:30 PM Mass. Materials are provided and it lasts about 15-20 minutes. If you are able to help with this ministry, please contact Sue Kroupa at 812-449-3740 or [email protected].

SCHOOL COUNCIL Are you interested in serving on the School Council? Good Shep-herd Catholic School Council has two openings to fill for the 2018-2019 school year. No experience needed. It is required that you are a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Parish. We meet once a month on Thursday evenings. **AROUND THE DIOCESE**

Grillin’ & Chillin’ at St. Wendel Church St. Wendel Men’s Club will be hosting their annual Grillin’ & Chillin’ Cruise-in and 5K Run on Saturday, June 2nd. Come and start your day with a 5K Run and Leisure Walk begin-ning at 8:00 AM through St. Wendel area followed by a free happy hour after the event! Registration for the 5K run/walk can be found online at http://bit.ly/GillinNChillin5K. The cruise-in is open to all makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Registration for the cruise-in is free and will be from 3:00 PM—7:00 PM. Awards for the cruise-in will be given away at 7:30 PM. St. Boniface Grotto Tours Tours of Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, St. Boniface Parish, 10:00 AM—2:00 PM May 13, 20, 27, located beneath St. Boniface Church, 418 N. Wabash St., Evansville. Please note that in addition to these tours during the “Month of Mary” Mass is celebrated in the Grotto at 7:30 AM on Sat-urdays throughout the year. All are welcome.

St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Invites you to join us at our annual Memorial Day Service, Monday, May 28 at 10:00 AM in our mausoleum chapel. Please join us as we honor all the deceased veterans who are buried in our cemetery. Together let us remember the gift of service that they have given to us and to our country.
