• JOMC 153 is a 3-credit hour course that meets in class for 5 hours a week. But, almost all work is done in class.

• Visual communication courses typically meet for longer periods of time because many, if not most, include lab time in the regular course.

Some J-school Courses Meet Longer Than Others

• Within the period to drop classes (first eight weeks of semester).

• No permission needed if you don’t drop below 12 hours.

• After drop deadline you need permission from senior associate dean—you must show documented medical problem or change in work status. A “bad grade” is not a legitimate reason. Petition forms are available in Student Records. Get that first.
