What we want to show you how to…

Fill out a monthly report and update other information in the information system.

Use the Chat Room. Participate in a Forum. Register for a training event. Enter a new resource into the resource

system.

Log InLog InTo edit your information in the information system, you will need to use the username & password given to you at your assessment or basic training. Then click “Log In”.

Locating your informationLocating your informationWhen you log in, you will find a list of options that you as a church planter will most likely need.

To return to this page, move your cursor over “My Info” and click on “My Information”.

Locating your public pageLocating your public pageThis page is your own “home page”.

Now let’s click on the bullet in front of “View my public page”.

Viewing your public pageViewing your public pageYou probably remember from the General Tour that there is one page for each church planter that can be accessed by the general public.

You should check it regularly to make sure all the info is current.

Let’s click the “X” to close this page.

Now let’s click on the bullet in front of “Edit my information”.

Here’s where all your information is stored. Later you can work down this page updating your information as you go.

Let’s scroll down to the bottom of this page.

Submitting updated infoSubmitting updated infoEach time after you change any of your information, you will need to click “Submit” to update the information system.

This page contains all your information, but it is much easier to read in this format.

Now let’s go back to your home page by moving your cursor over “My Info” and clicking “My Information”.

Now let’s click the bullet in front of “Fill in a Monthly Report” to fill in your monthly report.

As you fill out your monthly report, it will update any matching fields in the information system.

Now scroll down.

Entering email addressesEntering email addressesBefore you submit your report, be sure to enter the email addresses of everyone (including yourself) that should receive an automatic email notifying them that you have submitted your monthly report.

Then click the “Submit” button.

This is a sample of the emails that will be automatically generated when you click the submit button. Each person will receive a hyperlink to your report so they can read & print your report.

Let’s click on it.

You can print your report out so you’ll have a hard copy of it.

Viewing previous monthly reportsViewing previous monthly reportsIf you would ever need to review your monthly reports, go to My Info and click on “View My Monthly Reports” or click on Reports and select Monthly Reports – Church Planter.

This is what you’d see.

Viewing & editing a monthly reportViewing & editing a monthly reportYou can view the report by clicking on your name or edit the monthly report by clicking on the edit button. To fill out a new report, just click on Fill in a Monthly Report.Let’s click on the Chat Room now.

Logging into the Chat RoomLogging into the Chat RoomType in whatever name or nickname you’d like to use as you chat with other planters or facilitators that are in the chat room.

Then click Login.

(Note: in this example no users are logged in. You may need to schedule a time when you would like to meet others here.)

The Chat Room that you are currently in is in bold.

Just click another room to switch chat rooms or you can add a new room.

To type a message just start typing in the message box and then click Send.

When you are finished chatting, please make sure that you logout by clicking the LOGOUT button below.

Finding the ForumsFinding the ForumsTo join a forum click on Forums under the Facilitators tab.

If this is your first time to the Church Planting Forums, you will need to register. Click on Register. Next time, you can use the username and password you will register with and log in.

Click on Church Planter Forums to see what topics have been discussed.

No topics! It’s time to get something going. Click on New Topic

Fill in a Subject and the Message and then click on Post New Topic.

By clicking on the Topic, you can read the message and then respond.

Now let’s logout for now.

Click on the Home button to get back to the rest of the information system.

Let’s click on My Information to take you back to your personal page.

Here’s how to register for a training event. Just click on the “Training Registration” bullet.

Click the button of the event you would like to register for. Then click the Register button at the bottom of the page.

Now let me show you how to add a new resource to our resource system.

Move your cursor over “Resources” and click on the “Add a New Resource”.

The Modern Language Assoc website (www.mla.org) would best go under the folder called Language Resources.

Type in the resource, any contact information, the title of the hyperlink and the hyperlink address.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Determining partners in ministryDetermining partners in ministryThis is the tricky part! Click the person/organi-zation who is responsible for providing a resource/ service and then to which associations & networks the resource applies.

Then click “Submit”.

View new resource infoView new resource infoNow you can review the resource to make sure all of the information is correct.

Make sure that http:// does not appear twice in the hyperlink.

Scroll down to see the bottom of the page.
