What we see, feel, hear, and create shapes who we are. Arts Under the Arch will challenge you to explore your understanding and connection to the arts and the role of art, culture, and design in society. Art impacts everyone and can shape your experience of place, community, and identity. As a creator or a connoisseur of music, dance, theatre, visual art, architecture, or other mediums of expression, Arts Under the Arch will expose you to resources on campus and throughout St. Louis where you can engage in meaningful ways. You will gain diverse perspectives when you connect with faculty, artists, alumni, and key players in the St. Louis community. You will explore your creative voice and build con- nections that will enrich your time at WashU, in St. Louis, and for the rest of your life. No prior creative experience needed.
Use this map as a guide to exploring the great arts and culture opportunities on-campus and throughout the St. Louis community. Record your experiences by drawing, coloring, and taking notes as you explore your new home for the next four years.
