Homework Policy What is Star Homework?
• Star homework allows you and
your child to choose how much
homework they will do nightly.
• Your child can choose the
number of stars per night, with a
weekly goal of at least 10 stars.
• Our class will be attempting to
earn enough stars for a reward
on Friday so it is important your
child does nightly homework that
helps our class accomplish their
goal.
Math Practice Page
Attached to the Star Homework
page each week will be a math
practice sheet(2 sided). For each
side your child completes they will
earn 1 star. Please have your child
turn these sheets in on Thursday
with their “Star” homework sheet.
****These practice sheets are
review of what we learned in class.
Read for _____ Minutes
Students must read at least15 minutes to
earn a star. If they read longer they will
circle an additional star for each additional
15 minutes.
Spelling
Your child can choose how they
would like to practice their spelling
words each week. You will see a
menu of ideas at the bottom of
their homework each week.
