Children’s Ministry AssessmentPlanning for the Future of our Children...We value the children of our church, and we are committed to building a sustainable children’s ministry that is going to have a deep impact. That’s why we are developing a game plan together. We have invited Children’s Min-istry Architects to visit us on April 27-29. CMA will spend the majority of their time listening to a variety of groups within the church through focused listening groups. We hope to see participation in those groups from a broad spectrum of parents, volunteers, staff and people who just love our children. We want your in-sights, your frustrations and your dreams to be heard. After spending two days in these listening groups (and taking copious notes), the CMA team will review their findings and begin to write a report, sharing with us what they’ve heard about the children’s ministry – including assets, challenges, and how we compare to children’s ministries around the country – and where it seems that God might be taking us next. On Monday, April 29 during a lunchtime “stakeholders session” the report will be presented to the congregation, laying out specific recommendations and a blueprint for how to move forward. Specific individuals will be invited in order to insure a broad spectrum of repre-sentation, but others are welcomed to attend. If you would like to be part of this process and have your voice heard, please contact Debbie Foust at [email protected] or 812-4804.

2013 Henderson Settlement Mission TeamSunday, July 7 to Saturday, July 13Ready to connect, grow and serve all in one week? Join us for our 2013 Henderson Settlement Mission Team. This is a great opportunity to be in service to a family as we do home repairs. Every skill level is welcome. We’ll find a way for you to serve. Want to learn more? Contact Dwight Steed at 882-4829.

Volunteers are needed to serve dinner at Open Door Ministries on June 17, July 15, and Aug 19 from 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm. You don’t need to bring anything or cook anything. This is a great chance for families and friends to serve those less fortunate. To volunteer, please contact Mary Webster at [email protected] or 327-6846.
