Weekend

Sunday School
Thanks for an awesomefirst week of Sunday
School! Elementary had a blast beginning a
month of talking about Initiative: Seeing
what needs to be done and doing it. This
week, ask your child: "What around you
needs to be done?"
Toddlin’ to Jesus had some great fellowship time learning all about
creation! We are so blessed to have so many vibrant young families
learning together the importance of Christian parenting and fellow-
ship together while their small ones learn about their Creator.
Forgot to sign up? The registration link is still live on Immanuel’s
website for Sunday School (birth8th grade).

Serenity Garden Bricks
We currently have two engraved brick orders and we strive to have at least 10 orders to
be most cost efficient (because the monument company who engraves the bricks charg-
es $250 for coming out, regardless of one brick or ten). For ten bricks, we bring in
$1,225, so roughly $1,000 goes into supporting the upkeep of our campus gardens.
And you have to agree, we look pretty good! Our volunteers have done a great job!
These engraved bricks are in the Serenity Garden on the north side of the Sanctuary
along Jefferson Street. Take a moment to stop, enjoy and remember in this place of
peace and calmness.

We would like to have one last push for brick orders, before
the cold weather is upon us, so if you havean upcoming wed-
ding, baptism, graduation, confirmation, other event or recent
memorial, won’t you consider placing a brick order? They are
$125 and can contain 13 characters (including spaces) per line
with 3 lines. It’s a lasting memory. You may call the Church
Office (636.946.2656) to place an order or pick up a form in
the Church Office.
Library Coordinator Needed
We are looking for a parent or grandparent who would be interested in volunteer-
ing to be our library coordinator.Tasks would include maintaining the library
catalog, ordering books, coordinating classroom library schedules and volunteer
schedules. Interested parties should email Mr. Huster

an insurance policy or retirement account, and/or have established an endowment
fund. Vernon & Joann Schroeder volunteer at SSM Hospital, have two children, and
are both alumni of Lutheran elementary schools an experience that they will tell
you has laid a foundation for both of them throughout their life, sort of like a
roadmap, guiding them through life’s best and worst times. They recognize that not
everyone can afford this educational opportunity, and they want to help. Recently,
Vernon & Joann created a named endowment to benefit LESA that will provide
scholarships for years to come for children of all faiths enrolled in Lutheran schools.
They consistently support LESA and they exemplify Christ’s love in their love for one
another but also for those less fortunate. Vernon and Joann, thank you for your gen-
erosity and commitment to Lutheran education.
