WELCOME Introduction Welcome and thank you for participating in this survey. This project is a joint effort by the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights, the International Chamber of Commerce, the International Organisation of Employers and the Corporations and Human Rights Project. This survey is part of a larger datagathering effort by the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights which includes the distribution of a separate survey to UN member states to better understand the role that states play in fostering broad respect for human rights. Purpose The purpose of the survey is to assess your perception of where your company currently stands with regards potential social impacts or impacts on human rights. While we recognise that it is not possible to respond on behalf of the business as a whole, we are interested in capturing your own perspective in relation to various questions and criteria. Survey participants We are keen for a diverse range of companies to participate in the survey in terms of size, sector and geography. It is designed to be accessible to those new to the debate and those with established strategies on social impacts/human rights. This survey may be relevant for many functions/departments within a business including but not limited to legal, compliance, sustainability, supply chain, risk and public affairs.
