Safety Laws against Leaving a Child
Unattended in a Car • 0-6 years old
• Do not leave your child unattended anywhere!

Home Alone Laws • Most states do not have laws specifying when kids
are old enough to stay at home alone.
• A rule of thumb: a child 10 years old and younger is NOT responsible enough to be left home alone.
• However, age is not the only factor to consider!!
