Alleluia, alleluia! No one lives on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Alleluia!
O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me! You are my rescuer, my help; O Lord, do not delay.

TASK FORCE UPDATE.
The current “norm” in the time of COVID-19. In recent weeks, you will have noticed more cars on the road, more people at the shops, returning to their place of work and worship. At the same time, we see images of what is happening in Victoria, NSW and overseas and we remind ourselves that we are fortunate to be where we are. We also consider what we must do to keep protecting ourselves and others as we go about our daily lives.
Vigilance requires us to be careful about how close we move near other people. We must also appreciate that others will be con-cerned about the same issue and as a result, they may not linger or look for a chat. We are asked to keep up personal hygiene practices, so we need to keep consider hand hygiene, covering our face to cough or sneeze and staying away from public places if we are unwell. We also should be mindful that anything we touch needs to be cleaned regularly.
With so much vigilance, it can overload our well—being. Some
people may choose to self—isolate which further compromises
their capacity to share thoughts & feelings about what they know
and understand is going on in the world. Despite so many people
moving around in public spaces, there will be some who are not
out and about. If there is someone you are missing, please get in
contact – they maybe keen to hear from you!

I !" #$!"%&' B)*& C!, S-' & – New “No Card, No Start” law commence 31 August 2020
The following information is important for all who volunteer in our parish and hold a Blue Card.
You cannot volunteer (or work) in a position that requires a Blue Card until your application is approved and you receive your card. Further, if your Blue Card expires, you cannot volunteer until you receive your new card.
You must submit your renewal application prior to expiry of your old card. This means that, when you receive a letter from Blue Card Services, you need to act immediately to renew your card.
My renewal recently took 6 weeks from application, but sometimes it takes longer. Do not delay in making the renewal application.
Some of our volunteers have Exemption Blue Cards because they are registered teachers, and these cards have previously NOT expired. The new laws mean that all exemption cards will now have expiry dates – if your
exemption card does not currently have an expiry date printed on it, you will need to renew it by 31 August 2023.
Blue card holders and applicants have an obligation to notify Blue Card Services immediately if their police
information changes.
Further information about Blue Cards, and the new laws, is available here, or I’m happy to discuss your questions
([email protected], or [email protected] or 0401 101 186)
