under West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police. 1) The undersigned is directed to refer to the above-noted subject and reference and to say that his proposal for granting consolidated honorarium of Rs. 8,000/- (Rs. eight thousand) only per month in lieu of Rs. 5,500/- (Rs. five thousand five hundred) only per month for the Civic Volunteers working under West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police on regular basis with usual breaks, was under active consideration of the Government for some time past. 2) Now, the undersigned is directed to say that the Governor, after careful consideration of the matter has been pleased to decide that with effect from 01.10.2018, all the Civic Volunteers under West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police who will be deployed on regular basis with usual breaks, shall be allowed consolidated honorarium of Rs. 8,000/- (Rs. eight thousand) only per month in lieu of Rs. 5,500/- (Rs. five thousand five hundred) only per month. 3) Other terms and condition resting with the extant Government Orders preceding hereof shall remain unaltered. 4) This order issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their U.O. PROMOTION HELD ON 3RD OCTOBER, 2018.

A meeting of the Board of Control for Examination and Promotion was held on

3rd October, 2018 at 14.00 hrs. in the office chamber of the Addl. Director General of

Police (Operation), West Bengal at Bhabani Bhawan, Kolkata-27.

Shri Natarajan Ramesh Babu, IPS, Additional Director General & Inspector

General of Police (Operation), West Bengal and Chairman of the Board presided over the

meeting.

1. To examine and approval of the Result of the Final Examination of PPT

Training Course of ASIs (Armed Branch) for promotion to the rank of SIs

(Armed Branch) of PPT Batch No-14/2018 and 15/2018.

DIG, Training-cum-Principal, SVSAP, West Bengal has sent, under memo no-

SVSPA/Exam Cell/PPT/ASI(AB)/04(II)/2018-2766 dtd-11/09/2018 and Memo no

SVSPA/ Exam Cell/ PPT/ASI(AB)/04(III)/2018-2767 dtd-11/09/2018, the Results

of the Final Examination of Pre-Promotional Training Course of ASIs (Armed

Branch) for promotion to the rank of SIs(Armed Branch) of PPT Batch No-14/2018

and 15/2018 respectively.

In PPT Batch No 14/2018, 75 ASIs(AB) joined the aforesaid training course. Out of

75 ASIs(AB), 62-ASIs(AB) have qualified in all subjects and the remaining 13

ASIs(AB) could not qualify in some subjects.

In PPT Batch No 15/2018, 14 ASIs(AB) joined the aforesaid training course. Out of

14 ASIs(AB), 09-ASIs(AB) have qualified in all subjects, 2 ASIs(AB) have been

expelled and reported against each during the final examination and remaining 3

ASIs(AB) could not qualify in some subjects.

Total 71 ASIs(AB) are qualified in two PPT Courses.

Two results of the same are placed before the ‘Board of Control for Examination

and Promotion’ for perusal and approval for taking next course of action.

DECISION – The Board examined and unanimously approved the Results for

onwards action.

2. To examine and approval of the Result of the Final Examination of PPT

Training Course of ASIs (Unarmed Branch) for promotion to the rank of

SIs (Unarmed Branch) of PPT Batch No-17/2018 and 18/2018.

DIG, Training-cum-Principal, SVSAP, West Bengal has sent, under memo no-

SVSPA/Exam Cell/PPT/ASI(UB)/03(I)/2018-2764 dtd-11/09/2018 and Memo no

SVSPA/ Exam Cell/ PPT/ASI(UB)/03(II)/2018-2765 dtd-11/09/2018, the Results of

the Final Examination of Pre-Promotional Training Course of ASIs (Unarmed

Branch) for promotion to the rank of SIs(Unarmed Branch) of PPT Batch No-

17/2018 and 18/2018 respectively.

In PPT Batch No 17/2018, 199 ASIs(UB) joined the aforesaid training course. Out

of 199 ASIs(UB), 194 ASIs(UB) have qualified in all subjects and the remaining 5

ASIs(UB) did not qualify in some subjects. On the other hand one ASI(UB) of

previous batch also appear in the examination as supplementary candidate and

also qualified.

In PPT Batch No 18/2018, 183 ASIs(UB) joined the aforesaid training course. Out

of 183 ASIs(UB), 145-ASIs(UB) have qualified in all subjects, 4 ASIs(UB) have

been expelled in the final examination and remaining 34 ASIs(UB) could not qualify

in some subjects.

Total 340 ASIs(UB) are qualified in two PPT Courses.

Two results of the same are placed before the ‘Board of Control for Examination

and Promotion’ for perusal and approval for taking next course of action.

DECISION – The Board examined and unanimously approved the Results for

onwards action.

3. Length-cum-Record of Service Board of 71 ASIs(Armed Branch) (PPT

Batch No-14/2018 and 15/2018) for promotion to the rank of SIs(Armed

Branch)--

Ref. this office memo no-954(167)-Per/A // Per/A-27/2017 dtd- 10/08/2018, all

Head of the Districts / Units were requested to hold L-C-R-S Board of ASIs(Armed

Branch) [PPT Batch No-14/2018 and 15/2018] for promotion to the rank of

SIs(Armed Branch).

A Broad Sheet of 71-ASIs(Armed Branch) was prepared on the basis of reports

received from concerned Head of the Districts / Units for taking final decision.

DECISION – The Broad Sheet containing marks obtained by the candidates in

the Pre-Promotional Training Course, Length-cum-Record of Service and other

relevant records were placed before the members of the Board for consideration.

Out of a total of 71 ASIs(Armed Branch), all the 71 ASIs(Armed Branch) are

declared ‘Fit’. The details of the candidates are shown hereinafter.

the rank of SIs(Unarmed Branch)--

Ref. this office memo no-955(167)-Per/A // Per/A-27/2017 dtd- 10/08/2018, all

Head of the Districts / Units were requested to hold L-C-R-S Board of

ASIs(Unarmed Branch) [PPT Batch No-17/2018 and 18/2018] for promotion to

the rank of SIs(Unarmed Branch).

A Broad Sheet of 340 ASIs(Unarmed Branch) was prepared on the basis of reports

received from concerned Head of the Districts / Units for taking final decision.

DECISION –The Broad Sheet containing marks obtained by the candidates in the

Pre-Promotional Training Course, Length-cum-Record of Service and other relevant

records were placed before the members of the Board for consideration. Out of a

total of 340 ASIs (Unarmed Branch), 302 ASIs (Unarmed Branch)are declared ‘Fit’.

A total of 26 ASIs (Unarmed Branch) are declared ‘Unfit’. In case of 12 ASIs

(Unarmed Branch) against whom Criminal Case / Departmental Proceeding is

pending, the Board decided to adopt ‘Sealed Cover’ procedure. The details of the

candidates are shown hereinafter.
