Stroke & Coat® is a heavy-bodied, versatile glaze that has the widest range of use and application of any Mayco glaze. The extraordinary tolerance and forgiveness of Stroke & Coat® allows it to be used as follows:
• Firing Temperature - can be fired from cone 06 to cone 10.
• Kiln Atmosphere - reduction or oxidation firing.
• Surface - can be applied to greenware or bisque.
• Body - can be applied to earthenware, stoneware or porcelain.
• Application Thickness - translucent and water-color effects can be achieved with thin applications; full opacity is achieved with thicker applications - if layered it can create dimensional effects.
• Intermixable - Stroke & Coat® glazes can be blended to create new colors.
• Design Integrity - can be used to created intricate, detailed designs. Colors butted against one another will not blend. Used in Majolica techniques the glaze will not move nor will it blend into the base glaze beneath it.
• Light over Dark - light colors will remain opaque when layered on top of darker colors (3 coat coverage recommended).
• Liquid-to-Fired Color Consistency - the colors in their liquid state accurately represent the fired color.
• Glossy Finish - Stroke & Coat® will fire to a gloss finish - clear glaze is not required.
• Non-Toxic, Food Safe.

AMACO VELVET UNDERGLAZES
Lead Free Velvet Underglazes- Mix and layer hundreds of colors! Their saturated color, dependability and versatility make Velvets as popular for pros as they are for children. Velvets fire true-to-color as a Cone 05/06 underglaze or fired to Cone 6. Try two finish possibilities: When left unglazed, these colors have the rich, textural appearance of velvet; when covered with AMACO Clear Transparent Matte or Clear Gloss glaze, they intensify in color. Can be applied easily to greenware or mature Cone 04 bisque (1971°F) These colors are safe for spray application. Dinnerware safe when covered by any dinnerware safe glaze. They should not be used alone on dinnerware surfaces. These underglazes are versatile and can be used on low fire, mid range or high fire clays. Please view the charts for cone 5 and cone 10 variations.

Glazes Pints
Amaco Potter’s Choice glazes achieve the effects of Cone 10 reduction without the need for a reduction gas kiln or firing to high
temperatures. These lead-free glazes are made to fire at Cone 5-6 (2205°F–2269°F, 1207°C–1243°C), in an oxidation kiln.
Glazes are available in pints for brushing.
The AMACO website has extensive information on glaze application, glaze layering, and dinnerware safety.

Low Fire Gloss Glazes Cone 06-04 by Standard Ceramic Supply
These lead-free gloss glazes are designed for the artist in everyone. They provide
an artist’s palette of true, bright colors for creating exciting and colorful ceramic art.
These low-fire glazes are formulated non-toxic for safe use in studios and class-
rooms. All are dinnerware safe if properly applied and fired. The glazes should be
applied to bisque by brushing on three even flowing coats. Allow the glaze to dry
between coats. Glazes may overlap by allowing each to dry before the next is ap-
plied. Fire to cone 06 or 04. Certified Nontoxic and approved for use by all ages.
Every effort has been made to insure the accuracy of the glaze colors shown. Actu-
al results may vary due to the clay body used, application technique and firing cy-
cle.
