• We have a HBV/FM/FGM multi agency group in Gloucestershire whichmeets on a quarterly/bi-monthly basis depending on actions and we metyesterday to discuss this item. The group all felt and agreed that work withschools and prevention needed to take place ahead of 14th July, howeverunder this premise ‘Britain’s Lost Women’ annual remembrance. It wasdecided that we will develop and share locally a Factsheet/pathway aboutFM and FGM with schools at a County Education conference on 26th June. The purpose being to ensure that educational based professionals areaware of what signs to look out for and the pathway to follow shouldconcerns arise which is a refresh of already existing child protectionprocedures. The same factsheet/pathway will also be shared as asafeguarding Children’s Board alert and through internal bulletins acrossthe partnership.

• The group have also agreed to work with female community groups todesign a poster to use during June/July/August which aims to:Raiseawareness of the issues and Act as a remembrance poster

• Members of the group have been tasked to work with community groupsto capture ideas, words, messages, images, colours and our CorporateCommunications and Engagement team are aware and happy to fine tunethe final design using our partnership branding ‘Gloucestershire take astand’ which links to our victim focussed website glostakeastand.com.
