DATA INFORMATION SHEETS
Data Information Sheets will be sent home with children at the end of September/
beginning of October. These will need to be checked with regard to any changes. Please
can you still return the sheet even if no changes are required.
Arrangements for Scooters - Pupils who attend clubs before school will be
required to drop off their scooters by entering through the side gate next to
the main School Reception at Marlborough Road before 8.00am when these
gates will be locked. For pupils who need to collect scooters and attend
after-school clubs, scooters will need to be collected following the
after-school club. Pupils and parent/carers will need to enter through the
side gate by the School Reception at Marlborough Road. This also applies
for scooters that are kept in the Key Stage 1 area.
MESSAGES - If you need to send a message to your child’s Class Teacher, please either
write in or email [email protected]. Thank you.
SUSSEX COUNTY JUNIOR BADMINTON - Ryan Colcombe in Year 6 Kipling
Class has been successfully selected into the Sussex County Junior Badminton
Squad for under 12s. Ryan will now be representing the County in regional and
National matches. Well done Ryan.
SWEETS Following consultations with parent/carers that have taken place during Parent
Forum meetings, I have agreed that we will no longer have sweets to celebrate birthdays.
As a Healthy Schools promoter, we have previously tried to minimise the amount of sweets
that are shared with the class, but without success. Class Teachers will return sweets to
parent/carers if they are brought into school for sharing with the class. Thank you for your
support.
OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE SCHOOL LIBRARY The official
opening of the new school library will take place on Monday 20th
November. Children will be asked to dress up as their favourite
character from a book on this day. A letter with further information
will be sent out shortly confirming details.
GENES FOR JEANS A huge thank you to pupils and parents for their support
for Genes for Jeans Day. The total amount raised was £539.12.

RUBY AND THE REVELATORS CONCERT
A concert has been arranged by Mr Borg (parent) for Ruby and The Revelators to perform at St.
Paul’s, Worthing on Friday 13th October. Tickets usually cost £7.50 but there will be a special
discount applied for parents of children at West Park at the special rate of £5.00. Ruby and The
Revelators perform upbeat soul with an authentic 60s/70s flavour. Their debut album was
released earlier this year and has received great reviews. For further information regarding this
event please email [email protected]
