About Western Districts Gymnastics Western Districts Gymnastics Club is a permanent gymnastics facility located in Bardon, approximately 5km west from the Brisbane city centre. With affiliations to both Gymnastics Queensland and Gymnastics Australia, the club has recreational classes catered to boys and girls from ages 2 – 5 (pre-schoolers), and recreational and competitive gymnastics classes for school-aged girls. All of our coaches are fully accredited with Gymnastics Australia, and all hold current Blue Cards and Senior First Aid qualifications. Our team is led by head coach Kirsten Cole, who is highly experienced and respected within the gymnastics community; in 2015 she was awarded the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Coach of the Year. Our highly successful competitive program includes gymnasts ranging in levels from 1 – 10, and boasts 12 State Champions. We welcome new gymnasts (entry level or experienced) at any point throughout the year. The gym itself is set amongst trees with a great outlook, plenty of free parking, and is well equipped.

KinderGym 2-4 Years, Girls and Boys
60min
KinderGym classes are held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. A KinderGym qualified coach writes the program and it is theme-based. The aim of this program is to develop children’s
perceptual motor skills, social awareness, balance, co-ordination, gross and fine motor skills as well as their social, emotional, and language development skills.
By introducing gymnastics in the early years, we aim to help each child discover the joy of physical
activity and develop their self esteem by accomplishing the age-appropriate tasks offered. Parents or caregivers accompany the children on the floor, offering physical and emotional support and
guidance. The program incorporates floor, bars, beam and vault circuits in a fun and safe environment.
Pre-Prep Mini Gym Girls and Boys entering Prep in 2018
60min
Our Pre-prep Mini Gym children are often at an age where they want to assert their independence but also want to know that their parent/caregiver is not far away. In this one-hour weekly class
parents are required to be on hand should their child need them, but do not need to take part in the class otherwise.
Our pre-prep Mini Gym classes encourage the children to be active listeners and learners on their
own. The slightly more structured environment fosters the children’s ability to take directions from the coach whilst still provide an opportunity for children to grow, share, take turns, set goals and take
risks within a fun and safe environment. Children develop at their own level with new successes and achievements every week within a learn through play based program.
