The physicians’ and surgeons’ visits are made daily, at oneand two o’clock. Each of the physicians visits his patientsthree times a week.Dr. Murphy visits three times a week, to see patients affected
with uterine diseases, and children; and, on alternate days, tcreceive applications from women who wish to be attended intheir confinement.Mr. Wharton Jones attends the ophthalmic department,
and will give occasional lectures on his cases.Out-patients are seen four times weekly by the assistant-
physicians and assistant-surgeons.Clinical instruction is given by the physicians and surgeons
of the hospital in their daily visits, and also by means of lec-tures and examinations upon the cases.Lectures on clinical medicine fortnightly, by Dr. Walshe
and Dr. Garrod, and twice a week by Dr. Parkes.Dr. Parkes holds examinations on the cases under his care
at the bedside during the visits, and practical lessons andexaminations in the wards, to classes consisting of limitednumbers, and meeting at separate hours.
Clinical Surgery: Lectures, twice a week, by Mr. Quain,and once a fortnight by Mr. Erichsen.FELLOWES’ CLHlICAL MEDALS.-Fellowes’ clinical medals, one
gold, and one silver, and further certificates of honour, will beawarded at the end of each term, to the pupils who shall havemost distinguished themselves by reports and observations onthe medical cases in the hospital. Competitors must bestudents of the college, and have complied with the regula-tions for competition.LISTON MEDAL.-The Liston gold medal, and further cer-
tificates of honour, will be awarded at the end of the session,to the pupils who shall have most distinguished themselves byreports and observations on the surgical cases in the hospital.Competitors must be students of the college, and have compliedwith the regulations for competition.

Esq., for the most successful experimental research under-
taken in the Birkbeck Laboratory during the Session 1852-53.This prize may be competed for by all students who attendthe annual course of instruction in the laboratory. It will beawarded in August, 1853, at the end of the session. Mr.

intendence of the physicians and surgeons; on which occasions,pathological demonstrations will be given, to illustrate thestructural changes effected by disease.
Conjoint fee for the medical and surgical practice, twenty-six guineas, for the period of hospital attendance required bythe Royal College of Surgeons and Apothecaries’ Hall.The hospital affords relief to 2000 in-patients and 18,000
out-patients annually. ____
