WESTSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH APRIL 2014 NEWSLETTER March Unified Giving: $17,313.76 Required Unified Giving: $16,826 April Ministry Spotlight Palm Sunday Good Friday Easter Sunday . . Palm Sunday will be a celebration service that you do not want to miss! Through baptisms, membership announcements, worship and devotion we will joyfully proclaim that Christ is our Lord and King. The following week we will transition into a time of reflection as we remember Christ’s death on Good Friday. During the service we will unite our hearts in songs, prayers, and devotion as we gather around the communion table. Finally, on Easter Sunday we want you to invite a friend or family member that does not know Jesus. We will be intentionally creating a comfortable atmosphere where unbelievers can hear the powerful message of the gospel. We will begin the morning with a free brunch followed by a service that addresses the question, “What is Easter?” Afterward, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for all the children. Please be thinking about who you can invite Easter morning. For specific dates and times of each event please read the back of this newsletter, visit wbchamilton.com and PowerPoint announcements. As we think of Easter Sunday and who we can be inviting I reflect on Romans 1:16 which reminds us not to be ashamed of the good news of Christ “for it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” All for His glory, Pastor Brock How many of you know that the word “April” comes from the Latin word ‘aperire’ which means “to open”? April is the month when the trees open their leaves and the spring weather is finally upon us! As we wait in anticipation for the warmer weather we also eagerly await our Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter services here at Westside. Here is some information about each service:
