Dear Commanders

Sectional Campout is just around the corner! l^Ie wjll be going to the

Santa Fe area this year. (maybe for the first time) It is a beautiful place!

Elevation is about 8000 feet. The location is a meadow in between pine and

aspen trees. It will be a dry camp.

Remember, Sectional Campout is for Pioneers and above. h,e will not have

events for the younger boys. At the Sectional Ranger of the Year compet'itjon

the events were chosen by the commanders present. Please refer to the schedule

enclosed. Also many commanders volunteered to he;lp with the events. If you

forgot what you volunteered for, call R'ichard Lorenz at 268-4209, and he

will refresh your memory. lrie appreciate your help! In fact, without itSect'ional Campout wi 11 not be a sucess.

Make sure you have a skit for Friday night, and please encourage your

boys to practice.. before coming to Sectiona'I.

Our Camp speaker this year will be Reverend Leroy Gonzoles, Pastor

from Living Word in Senta Fe. Rev. Gonzales recently attended the Men's

Ministry, Royal Ranger Retreat in l4ountainaire, and came back excjted about

sharjng the Gospel with men and boys. Don't miss thjs time of spiritual

renewi ng.

0n a personal note, the Seciional Staff covets your prayers and support

as we experience another "new beginning" in our section. As you know, Tom

Hayden has moved to Texas. l,,le miss hjm already, but we intend to carry on

as God g'ives direction.

Take I-25 to Santa Fe-exit on St. Francis Drive-stay on 5t. Francis

Drive (Route 84/285) all the way through town as if going to Los Alamos or
