Under the terms of the new agreement Springleaf team members nationwide, will receive a five percent tuition discount at WGU for up to four six-month terms. The discount applies to both master's and bachelor's degree programs. "At Springleaf Financial we encourage our associates to better themselves by furthering their education. We are excited about our partnership with WGU because it will provide access to quality degrees at a great price for our team members," said Dave Gutscher, senior vice president, human resources. "We continue to be the leader in adult education because of our accredited, affordable degree programs. It's a pleasure to partner with a company like Springleaf that shares our commitment to developing our country's workforce by granting access to higher education to skilled workers," said Allison Barber, chancellor of WGU Indiana. Springleaf team members pursing a degree in the College of Information Technology or College of Business will also be eligible for the company's tuition reimbursement program. Tuition at WGU has not increased since 2008 and is charged at a flat rate of $6,000 a year. Scholarships are also available for all four colleges. WGU's innovative, competency -based education mode measures learning rather than the time a student spends in a classroom seat. Students earn their degrees by demonstrating mastery of subject matter, completing coursework online at any time convenient to their lives. Designed to meet the needs of adult learners, competency- based education allows students to take advantage of prior learning and experience to move quickly through material they already know so they can focus on what they still need to learn. INDIANAPOLIS -Western Governors University, (WGU) and its state subsidiaries, have signed an agreement with Springleaf Financial (NYSE:LEAF), a leading consumer finance company, to

provide tuition discounts to their team members.
