FG Process

Presenter
Presentation Notes
In stage 2 of the process, we take a hands-on ground approach to sense and validate some of the trends that we have flagged out and also to discover new ones. This is done through interviews, networking sessions, foresight sessions, conferences and study trips during which we tap the brains of expert individuals. A list of these sessions will be provided in a subsequent slide.

FG Process

Presenter
Presentation Notes
In the last but not least part of the process, we converge and synthesize all our previous research and ideas through rigorous analysis and ideation. We then share the output at primarily the CEO Forum, and also at other various platforms where relevant. This is also the stage where we turn the ideas into concrete follow-ups and even take on experiments to gain a deeper hands-on experience.

Rise of the Rest VideoRise of the Rest Video

The Rise of the Rest is a term coined by Fareed Zakaria on the post-American world. It is a world not marked by American

decline, but the rise of everybody else.

Presenter
Presentation Notes
The Futures Group recently created a video titled "Rise of the Rest", which attempts to make sense of many interesting socio-economic facts and trends taking place in China, India, the Gulf states and Africa. The Rise of the Rest is a term coined by Fareed Zakaria on the post-American world. It is not a world marked by American decline, but the rise of everybody else. The rise of China and India are the most obvious signs. But the Gulf countries are also remaking themselves beyond hydrocarbons, and Africa is beginning to be distinguished into tier 1, 2 and 3 countries of promise etc. As you can see in the wordle crunch below, China and India are big but they are not the whole story. The video was screened at the MTI Corporate Planning Exercise session, and we're delighted to share the video link with the Futures Network. http://futuresgroup.wordpress.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mxJZ6Jhnrk http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4011023000327283443&ei=HWXvSOKsG4GQwgP

The Great Reset VideoThe Great Reset Video

The Great Reset is our attempt to describe the world as it emerges from the fog of the current crisis. We envision three scenarios in which the world could emerge from the crisis.
