I didn’t consider bad teachers a problem until now. But I guess there are some things that you have to experience in order to understand.

Is it a problem that students have learned nothing this year?

Is it a problem that the teacher laughs at and harasses students?

Is it a problem that students are afraid to go in the room alone?

Is it a problem that is being ignored?

The reason that I think this is an issue, is because there are

many teachers out there who are getting paid for doing

nothing. This year, I have heard so many stories about bad

teachers. In fact, I’m part of them. Teachers, even those who

yell, at least teach. But when the teacher doesn’t teach AND

yells, it turns into a problem. And the problem isn’t even in

the yelling, it’s in the way the teacher acts and treats their

students. While the heads of the school are telling their

students that they will try to do something about it (which

they don’t), students are the ones who end up suffering. And

all because of the bad teachers.

• They’re getting paid

• It doesn’t really matter what students are telling them.

• All of the other staff and teachers appreciate them because they think that they are wonderful people (which they’re not).

• They can do whatever they want with their class, and they won’t get in trouble for it.

So yes, the other side is definitely arguable, if you are a teacher, N0T a student.

EXTRA! EXTRA!

Teacher keeps teaching. The students have wasted a year.
