WHAT I HAVE LEARNED?Carla Donoso

Internet In the first trimester, we study the

internet its functions, its roots, when, how and why was it created.

To explain this complex topic Sujata used information and videos explaining terms and uses of each complement which is

related to the internet.

Conclusions I think the videos were a good way of showing

us more about the internet, it helped us visualize and understand it easier.

By other hand I found the information she gave us boring and difficult, so it was harder to learn from it as from the videos, but any way the use of both made us know the topic much better.

I think it was important for us to learn more about the internet because now a day, the internet has a huge role in our society.

Windows Movie Maker This program was introduced as a Design

Cycle Project, in which our aim was to make a commercial, by adding all kind of

effects and editing it the way you like it.

This project was very fun, everybody choose their product and made their commercials with Sujata's

help and supervision.

Conclusions This project was great, we learned a lot in

a total different and interactive way, in the commercial we learned all kinds of effects and uses of this cool program.

At first it was hard, but Sujata answered all of our questions and provided us ideas which were very useful.

I believe this is a great way of helping us understand and manage programs that technology provide us today.

Wikispaces Sujata also showed us to use the wiki,

she made us open an account and showed us all the facilities this program offered.

At first it was hard, for it was totally new for me so it took a time for me too learn how to manage it better.

Sujata showed us how to update and download all what we made at our computer to the internet so it would be easier to cheek our homework daily.

Conclusions I think learning how to use the wiki was

really helpful, all the class now has access to the rubrics, timelines and information the teacher uploads every day.

It can be used at any moment, and it is very useful to upload projects and homework.

Access This is a program used to organize data

and to have an easy access to any of it. It is a program with a huge memory and

different ways to store information of any type.

It is easy to import existing information from Excel to Access which makes it even more useful.

Conclusions I think the way Sujata taught us to use

this program was a good one, because as she made us use our own information to store it simply and this made us easier to relate it to much more other daily data and how we can store and organize it.

She made us practice in her presence and correct our mistakes as well as explaining where we were wrong and explain the correct way of doing it with a lot of patience.

Podcast To fully understand podcast process and

development we had to do a lot of researching in the internet, the aim of this project was to create a podcast in witch we explained what are networks.

This project instead of all the other projects were made in groups, this was great for we had fun during the project, but this complicated when doing the podcast because we had to get together and upload the program so we could create the podcast.

Conclusion I learned a lot in this project about

podcast, about networks but mainly about how to work in a team, I still need practice for these is a skill that has to be developed and worked to be stronger.

I need practice for it isn't simple, but its needed

projects like this that make us accept our

differences and tolerate them daily.
