Opportunity to take risksOpportunity to take risks

The learner’s safety and welfare is a priority

Pupils are routinely taught to recognise risks, why rules are necessary and how to be safe in the outdoor environment

High adult to child ratios ensure children can take risks that would not normally be possible

Smaller group sizes mean children have the time and support to master more complicated tasks

Less fear of failing as there is always time to have another go

Sessions are held in all weathers which can lead to a greater physical and mental resilience to being outdoors in any weather
