Let me show you the basics:

In South Africa we currently have 4 telephone network options to choose from when we make a call.

1. Telkom2. Vodacom3. MTN4. Cell C

The type of telephone instrument used is irrelevant.

You will be liable for your total calltime, no matter which network you use and what your contract states.

These calls are either charged for per minute or persecond, depending upon the network you use.

You need to make calls – your very livelihood depends upon it, but you have to make these calls in the most cost effective manner!

In the case of FCU’s (Fixed Cellular Unit’s used for routing)the following technology is utilised:

1. Evaluate your Telkom accounts. Add up the costs tocellular networks such as: MTN, Vodacom and Cell C, separately

2. If you already have a router in place, include the cost ofcalls exceeding contractual value.Do these to the seperate networks as well.

If you have a total of R1800 per month expense to cell phone calls – you need a Vodacom T500 contract.

If you exceed R1800 per network, per month, you needone Vodacom Corporate 500 and one MTN Value 705 contract for each R1800 denomination.

Your savings equal 20%BUTDo not forget, this is the minimum saving, as with persecond billing, this figure escalates with approximately 10%
