DESIGN

“Design is the method of putting form and content together. Design, just as art, has multiple functions; there is no single definition. Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated”

Paul Rand, Graphic Designer

TECHNOLOGY

Technology = how the object was made

•Before industrial revolution everything was made by hand, which limited the number of products that could be made

•What is a product that could not be made by hand?

•In modern culture we have practically zero limitations

•If we need to we decided what we want, then construct a machine to produce the desired product

•Time period styles vary greatly

•Lifestyles determine the style of interior design we prefer

•What do I mean by this?

•Modern style is an accumulation of all styles that have existed before, and include many new materials and technology
